Dear Bagel,
I AGREE COMPLETELY !! Thank you for your comment !! It gets lonely on here sometimes, and then just when you think that no one's listening, a friend comes along and re-affirms that there are others who feel the same way about these issues !! I needed that today !! Thanks again, you don't know HOW MUCH I needed that today !! You have given me new fuel for the fight !! Elaine
Elaine,
I was thinking the same thing. I was sitting at our dinner table on Rosh HaShana, and looking around at my family and guests and all the splendor of food and tasty dishes. I heard the chattering of dinner conversation in the background. And I was thinking, "How are the parents of the missing soldiers feeling now? How are they coping with not having their sons at the table with the whole family, knowing they are sitting in the hands of the enemy. Are they in a cold cell? Are they hungry? hurting? are they being tortured at this moment for information?" And then i thought, "will these parents ever be able to laugh again? Will they feel guilty if they do?" All these thoughts ran through my head. And I was grateful to G-d for the splendor of having my family together with all the goodness that He has blessed us with.
Every morning I say a prayer for the soldiers; Gilad Shalit, Eldad Regev and Ehud Goldwasser, that they be returned immediately, please G-d, and that they are healthy and unhurt. It should be, Please G-d! Thanks for your post Elaine.
Dear Tamar,
Thanks so much for your comment !! It is very encouraging, and as I commented to Bagel, I needed some encouragement right now !! Thanks to both of you for new fuel !! Your the best !! It would be so wonderful to hear that the soldiers have been released and are home safe and well, with their families and friends !! I just feel so helpless in situations like this !! We've just got to continue to pray for their safe return until it's a reality, G-D willing, and may it be soon !! Israel should not even consider releasing any known terrorists before the hostages are returned !! These Arab terrorists see all concessions as a sign of weakness, and of submission to Islam !! Bagel is right, all these Arabs understand is might, and nothing else !! Israel must stand strong against this black-mail and make them understand that the taking of Israeli hostages will be met with certain and severe retribution, so that they will think twice before trying it in the future !!
