SEPTEMBER 24th - WARNING OF ANOTHER POTENTIAL TERRORIST ATTACK IN THE U. S. OR ISRAEL
I thought that this was too important not to post. I read it for the first time on a credible Right Wing/Conservative/PRO-ISRAEL blog, and felt that if there were even the slightest chance that there may be some danger to either ISRAEL or THE UNITED STATES, that it was worth re-posting.
Like my Grandfather always said, "Fore warned is fore armed."
There appears to be a lot of evidence to warrant our vigilance. You decide .....

Adnan G. El Shukrijumah - attack in US coming this month (?)

(AKI) - Osama bin Laden is planning to carry out new, more destructive attacks inside the United States, and there is someone working on this terror plot currently in the US, according to Hamid Mir, the famed Pakistani journalist who obtained the only post-9/11 interviews with Osama bin Laden and Ayman al-Zawahiri. In an interview quoted on the website of the al-Arabiya television network, Mir spoke about his last trip to Afghanistan and his meeting with al-Qaeda members and Taliban leaders. In his interview with Al.Arabiya.net, Mir said that the al-Qaeda and Taliban fighters referred to attacks targeting the US-led coalition forces during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan which begins on 24 September, and that the al-Qaeda leader, Osama bin Laden was in "good" health during a meeting he had recently with the Taliban leader, Mullah Mohammed Omar. Mir also said that bin Laden has assigned a man named Adnan Al-Shukri Juma to carry out a new attack within the US which is intended to be larger than the 11 September, 2001 attacks. According to Mir, Adnan Jumaa has smuggled explosives and nuclear materials into the US through the Mexican border over the last two years and is hiding somewhere in America where the FBI has not been able to locate him.

Hamid Mir, who is the only journalist ever to interview both Osama bin Laden and Ayman al Zawahiri, claims that he learned this information on a recent trip to Afghanistan last month. So, the guy does have a track record, but considering that he got the information from al Qaeda and the Taliban ...... well, these guys aren't exactly reliable sources. So, yeah the headline is alarmist, but blame my editor and not me. A man called Adnan Al-Shukri Jumaa (Juma, Jumah) is presently in the U.S. and has been assigned the task of detonating the nuclear material. The report does not say whether an actual nuclear bomb was smuggled in or only material to be used for a "dirty bomb". Reports about Jumaa have been circulating for years. His real name is Adnan G. El Shukrijumah and he is wanted by the FBI. Shukrijumah has long been rumored to be inside the U.S. awaiting orders to detonate a dirty bomb.

There's a $5-million bounty on the head of El Shukrijumah, who is being sought by the FBI and CIA in connection with a plot to detonate a dirty bomb, (a conventional explosive laced with radioactive material). El Shukrijumah has been described as "the next Mohammad Atta" by American authorities.
"In addition, the informant said at least three other al Qaida terrorists were seen in Hamilton in 2002. They include Anas al-Liby, one of the FBI's most wanted terrorists, Jaber A. Elbaneh and Amer El-Maati," Gertz wrote on Oct. 17, 2003.
McMaster's online student records for the Year 2000 list BSc graduate Ciro Vincente Vitolo studying Physics at the Faculty of Science. The word "Lost" appears in brackets beside his name. Vitolo's record is the only one marked "Lost" among the ones viewed.
From the bottom of the article, it appears in this case, University officials may have been less than co-operative with Bill Gertz from the Washington Times - and also that al-Shurrijumah may have been enrolled under an alias, Ciro Vitolo. Earlier reports indicate that due to his many years in the US and his appearance, al-Shurrijumah is able to pass as an individual of Italian descent.

3. The Blotter has run not one but two stories about Shukrijumah in the past five days. The only "news" in both stories was that the FBI is looking for him but still hasn't found him. From September 7th:

Virtually every one of the FBI's 56 field offices are involved in the hunt, according to Stuart McArthur, the assistant Special Agent in Charge of the FBI's Miami field office, who heads up the bureau's hunt for Shukrijumah.
And from yesterday:
A one-time Florida chemistry student has the FBI worried and working overtime ..... As the clock ticks they fear he will help guide al Qaeda to another terrorist attack somewhere inside the United States. "He has a knowledge base of the U.S. that he can share with other al Qaeda operatives," the FBI's McArthur said. Why would they run two stories when there's no actual news to report?

Now of course Al Qaeda says this stuff all the time, but what about all the reports about Adnan El Shukrijumah? And like Allah said, why all the recent reports?

Terrorism authorities both inside and outside the government say they believe Shukrijumah is a major Al Qaeda figure, and the hunt for him is intense, with an FBI team tracking him virtually full time. So far, their quarry has remained elusive. Whereas Al Qaeda's core followers are young, poor and relatively uneducated, Shukrijumah has attended college and is comfortable with technology. He's also a naturalized U.S. citizen whose appearance would allow him to pass as Latino, Indian or Middle Eastern and who speaks English with no discernible accent, officials say. That background makes Shukrijumah especially threatening, counter-terrorism authorities say. He is dangerous "because he is so trusted in the organization and because he has traveled in the Western world and is familiar with its customs and procedures," said Joseph Billy Jr., assistant FBI director for counter-terrorism. Shukrijumah is believed to be "the guy who was reared to replace [Khalid Sheik] Mohammed as an Al Qaeda senior trainer, facilitator and propagandist, playing a central role in the development of hundreds of the network's future soldiers," said Sajjan Gohel, director for international security at the London-based AsiaPacific Foundation. "He is part of Al Qaeda Stage 2. "The foundation consults on terrorism assessment for governments."
Shukrijumah has not been charged with a crime, but federal grand juries in Virginia and South Florida are hearing evidence about his activities.
